If you've been struggling to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight, you're not alone. A treatment plan that includes semaglutide may assist in weight loss, but it can be expensive and hard to get.

At Philadelphia Professional Compounding Pharmacy, we are able to compound semaglutide into a subcutaneous injection that is more affordable and more available.

What is semaglutide?

Semaglutide belongs to a class of medications known as glucagon-like peptide-1, or GLP-1, receptor agonists. It mimics the GLP-1 hormone in the gut that gets released when eating.

This hormone sends a signal to the brain to regulate appetite and food intake, telling the body when it is "full".

How does it work?

Semaglutide, a GLP-1 medication, works to suppress appetite, manage blood sugar, control blood sugar spikes, and reduce cravings.

A subcutaneous injection is self-administered into the fatty tissue, just under the skin. When used in conjunction with diet and exercise our semaglutide injections may help you lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

We are also able to compound semaglutide into a liquid sublingual dosage form for those seeking an alternative to injections.

How do I get it?

Our compounded semaglutide is available with a prescription only. Please click the button below to fill out an interest form.

Compounded medications are not reviewed by the FDA for safety or efficacy.
